MSC Ariane to Resume Sailing Next Week Following Engine Repairs

The MSC Ariane is expected to leave Wakayama, Japan on April 21 and arrive in Los Angeles for anchorage May 1, although the estimated berthing date will depend on congestion, MSC said in a Wednesday notice.
The 14,036-TEU vessel is currently undergoing repairs in Wakayama due to an engine issue it experienced on April 2 from bad quality fuel while it was in route from Xiamen to Los Angeles.
BlueWater Reporting’s database shows the MSC Ariane has been operating on the 2M Alliance’s Pearl/TP6, which has a rotation of Cai Mep, Hong Kong, Yantian, Xiamen, Los Angeles, Yokohama, Xiamen and Cai Mep.
